Cleveland Association of Black Storytellers, Inc. Talk of the Town The African Oral Tradition

Cleveland Association of Black Storytellers, Inc. is a non-profit cultural organization whose purpose is to perpetuate Black Storytelling and the Oral Tradition. We are storytellers, writers, poets, musicians, dollmakers, teachers, librarians and more, who seek to use the African Oral Tradition to pass our cultural heritage, history and social values from one generation to another. Membership is open to those interested in the oral tradition of storytelling as well as those who may not be interested in becoming storytellers themselves, but would like to support the tradition of oral storytelling

CABS, Inc. is an affiliate of the National Association of Black Storytellers, Inc. which is based in Baltimore, Maryland and is comprised of over 400 storytellers in the United States, Canada and the Caribbean. Our programming includes networking, training programs, research public performance and collaborations with other cultural arts organizations and artists of various disciplines.

The members of the Cleveland Association of Black Storytellers are independent contractors and may be contacted individually regarding the services they provide. We invite you to view their respective web pages.
